Kareem and Tammi continue on their trek to Brooklyn. Kareem grows frustrated when Tammi asks if they can sit for a moment and take a break from walking. When pressed by Kareem, Tammi assures him she will not have a panic attack, as she has done in his presence before. When Tammi presses Kareem about constantly checking his almost-dead phone, he reveals that he is worried about his grandma and wants to check on her at the retirement home. Remembering that his grandma was in the 1970s blackout, Tammi calls her mother and asks her to check on G-Ma at the retirement home.
When they reach Times Square, the crowds are huge. Wanting to stay away from it all, Tammi tries to keep them moving. Kareem points out her refusal to be in the present moment as a character flaw. Saying she needs the restroom, the two continue walking toward the nearest fast-food restaurant. On the way, Tammi collides with a random man on the street, who blames Tammi for shattering his phone that falls out of his pocket during the incident. Kareem gets riled up and braces himself to fight until Tammi drags him away.
